Let’s get real, there are a ton of great photographers out there. What makes working with Studio Llotus different?

You’re right. There are tons of wonderful photographers around. But having a relationship with my clients is one of my top priorities. There is no way I can capture your relationship as a couple without knowing you, getting along with you, and learning how to make sure you’re comfortable being YOU while we shoot.

For my clients, my job turns into many things, including becoming a close friend! You aren’t sure what flowers match your location?… I’ll help you decide. You need a bottle of water right before the ceremony?… if I can’t get it, I’ll make sure someone does!
Booking with me turns into an experience, rather than just a day. I make sure everyone on the Studio Llotus team fits this mold too!

How would you classify your direction + style?

“Changing direction in life is not tragic. Losing passion in life is.” - Max Lucado

This quote couldn’t be a better answer to this question. I’ve always had a hard time putting anything I do into one category and giving it a name. As I go through phases in life, my photography does too. I strive to keep a timeless look to all of my images and avoid trends, but I am never afraid to try new things.

That being said, I will tell you the style that I am not. Indoor locations with studio lighting = not my jam. I don’t mind helping you find someone that fits that style if that’s what you prefer. I shot this way in college and in the beginning I offered this service. But I personally do not think my best images come from those situations. I THRIVE in outdoor locations, new or old. Want to get married in a luxurious castle?… I’m all about it. Want to elope on a mountain top?… I’ll help plan the hike. Whatever your dream is, I'm excited to be a part of it.

What is a "hybrid" photographer? Why film?

A hybrid photographer works with the best of both worlds: film and digital. Using two mediums at a wedding ensures that every emotion of the day is captured. Film shows tiny details that sometimes digital can overlook, while digital creates magic by giving us more images in less time. By using both, you receive timeless images that allow you to relive the small moments of your big day.

How do we book? Do you require a deposit?

For weddings, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 with a signed contract is required to reserve your date. The remaining amount is split into two payments, one due half way to your wedding date and the other is due on the day you say "I do". For family + couple shoots, no deposit is required unless travel is involved.

What is the average turn around time for sessions + wedding galleries?

Engagements + regular galleries take 3-6 weeks for gallery completion. Weddings + elopement galleries take 7-10 weeks.

Some seasons are busier than others and turn around times can vary. Trust me, I would never rush through the editing process and I keep clients up to date with how their gallery is coming along.

How are my photographs delivered? Can I order prints through you?

After your photographs have been thoroughly reviewed, processed and edited, they will be uploaded into an online gallery. You will receive a link to create a password to keep your photos safe. You can share this link with family, friends, and anyone you want to be able to view and purchase photos/prints. Your gallery is linked to an online store. I suggest ordering larger prints/albums through Studio Llotus (your gallery store), as prints are color calibrated with your gallery.

Tangible products are so important and I try to keep my prices so that it is reasonable for any and all family + friends to purchase.
