No two weddings are alike. Sure, some of them might use the same music or similar color schemes, but the people, the weather, the guests… are always unique to that specific day and couple. The Paradise wedding was one of those that I will never forget how easily everything fell into place (even though the weather tested us often)!
One of my very favorite parts of this wedding was Lindsey’s vision. We walked into the bridal suite to a breath taking blush pink dress hanging from the ceiling. If you’ve never been to The Glass House Venue, you should try to make some Alabama friends because it is amazing! From the scenery around it that can be seen out of one of the many windows, to the all white tables and chairs, it’s a blank canvas for you to decorate as little (or as much) as you’d like! As beautiful as a white dress would’ve been in this venue, the photos prove that this blush dress was exactly what it needed. Lindsey wanted her dress to stand out from the white backdrop and after seeing her in her dress, I couldn’t wait to get her out of the bridal suite to take portraits of her.
Lindsey and John Morgan were both so calm the entire day. I was impressed the way they both handled the changing weather forecast (thunderstorms were interrupting us often and changing our timeline). They were trusting in knowing that we would make everything work. There was a 100% chance of rain during and after the ceremony, right when we were going to do the couple’s portraits. We walked outside immediately after and the rain had stopped! Just a minute or two down the road are The Bluffs, where we had planned on taking their portraits and allowing them a few minutes to spend time together in their first few moments as a newly married couple. We noticed one of the videographers driving by and jumped into the back of his van to rush and beat the next storm. As if that wasn’t lucky enough, a rainbow showed up in the middle of their portraits.
Mr. + Mrs. Paradise, I am so honored that you let me be your sidekick on one of the most important days of your life. It was a dream and I am thankful I was there to witness your love shine through the storms.
